What is Spark X- AI Challenge
The SparkX – Artificial Intelligence challenge, organized by STEMLearn.AI and Techfest IIT Bombay in collaboration with CIR–IIIT Allahabad, is a national innovation challenge for school students (Grades 6–12).
SparkX- AI Challenge empowers young innovators to learn Artificial Intelligence, build intelligent prototypes, and solve real-world challenges through a blend of AI, robotics, and physical computing. Finalists will showcase their creations live at Techfest, IIT Bombay — Asia’s Largest Science & Technology Festival.

SparkX is a national-level Artificial Intelligence and Innovation Challenge organized by STEMLearn.AI in collaboration with Techfest, IIT Bombay and CIR–IIIT Allahabad. It encourages students to apply AI and robotics to solve real-world problems through working prototypes.
Students from Grades 6 to 12 across India can participate.
- Junior Innovators (Grades 6–8)
- Senior Visionaries (Grades 9–12)
Yes, students can participate individually or in teams of up to 5 members. Cross-school teams are also allowed.
You can register directly through the official Techfest IIT Bombay website or via the STEMLearn.AI SparkX page. Once registered, a confirmation email with your Team ID and next steps will be sent.
The competition has multiple stages:

2️⃣ AI & Robotics Workshops
3️⃣ Idea Presentation
4️⃣ Prototype Submission
5️⃣ Grand Finale at Techfest, IIT Bombay
Students are encouraged to build AI-integrated hardware prototypes using tools like Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, or IoT sensors — solving real-world problems under the given themes.

🎓 Finalists receive National Recognition at Techfest IIT Bombay.
🌐 Top projects will be featured on the STEMLearn.AI Showcase.
Yes! Shortlisted participants will attend AI workshops conducted by experts from IITs and STEMLearn.AI to help refine their projects.
The Final Round will be held live at Techfest, IIT Bombay, from December 22–24, 2025.
